Folk Figures

Y1-Y5 students explored folk dolls from around the world, each representing different cultural traditions and storytelling elements. They then looked at the contemporary wooden dolls designed by architect and artist Alexander Girard, known for their bold patterns and playful expressions.

Each student decorated a life-sized figure, using colour and pattern to express their own identity. Together, these figures come together to form our diverse and vibrant CREATE community.
